Tena koe!  Good-day! Godag! Guten tag! Hola! Hello!  Both kiwis, we enjoy learning about the world and have visited numerous coutries.  We love to host kiwis and overseas visitors, sharing our experience of both Maori and European New Zealand cultures.

Walking tour: Auckland Domain, Wintergardens, Fernery, Anglican Cathedral & Parnell shops, 2 hours. ($40 guided)

Ferry to islands: From Britomart Station (2 stops from Grafton Station) - to Devonport and Hauraki Gulf Islands.
Cycle way:  near the Grafton Gully Cycleway, linking to the Auckland Waterfront - Mission Bay, and Twin Streams - Henderson (for a day out).
Beaches: Take an afternoon on Auckland's best gay beach by bus or car, or visit Piha beach and walk to a waterfall.
($150 for a day tour by car, enquire re. availability)
Forests: Walk in the rainforest and admire the surfies on the wild West Coast, or climb Rangitoto - an island volcano with dramatic crater.

Gay homestay:  Gay owned and hosted. We welcome you to share our living space and respect your privacy.
Rates: NZ $165 / 2 people (including all tax) for the Queen Room (15.0 sq m)  $150 / 1 person
NZ $195 for the larger Garden Room,  (19.5 sq m, 1 or 2 people).
Both rooms come with a comfortable queen size bed, en-suite shower room and a choice of breakfasts.
Payment in NZ$ cash on the day after you arrive (we know it's difficult on arrival!) Other currencies accepted: EU,GB,US,AUS. 
Breakfast: your choice of cooked or continental breakfast.  Included in the room price.
Served in our new dining room looking out on the courtyard at a time you choose.  Good tea & NZ roasted coffee.
Free Wi-fi (fibre, high speed, unlimited).
TV:  Freeview 9+ channels in shared lounge.
Smokefree house:  Smoking area outside.
Recycling and laundry available.
Sunbathe & relax in the back courtyard.
Local wine and beer available for purchase.
Currently no wheelchair access sorry, because of the front stairs.

Airport Shuttle:  to the door:  one way $35 one person, $43 two people.  Book at www.supershuttle.co.nz or just get the shuttle at the ariport (follow signs to the bus).
Airport Bus:  $18 one way at airport.  $32 return.  To City Stop 1 or 1a then walk 10 minutes. www.skybus.co.nz
Taxi from airport.
Motorway ExitsKhyber Pass Rd if travelling North.  Gillies Ave if travelling South.
Car access: turn into Parkfield Terrace from Khyber Pass Road.
Free Parking:  on street, best after 4pm.
BusInner Link bus (circle to K Rd and Newmarket) 2 minutes walk.  Many other buses pass close by www.at.govt.nz
Metro: Grafton Train Station: 2 minutes walk.  1 stop to Newmarket Station.  2 stops to Britomart (Auckland Central) Station
Car Hire:  2 businesses nearby.
Motorbike: free offstreet parking.
Walking and bicycle access from city centre: via the famous Grafton Bridge & Carlton Gore Road (near Auckland City Hospital).  Make sure you search for 'walking' directions on Google.
